ADu and ADu +
ADu provides for the full removal of dispensing modules, complete with material syringes, for easy cleaning and storage in climate controlled cabinets if required. The use of industry standard nozzle tips with standard Luer lock systems provides cost effective and reliable performance.
The Cleaning and Calibration station provides a simple cleaning roll and material purge facility, fully accessible and easy to reload.
Height calibration for the nozzle tip is automatic and is completed by default at the start of each job, and progressively throughout the dispense cycle, mapping the entire surface to give the correct dispense height measurement to within 1 micron using Linear Encoders

Velocity & Velocity+
The addition of the Velocity or Velocity+ speed enhancement will deliver best-in-class speed with an 8-second or 6-second core cycle time respectively.
Through a newly optimised control system using the latest generation motor drive technology, Speedprint provides exceptional throughput capabilities for the most demanding high volume applications, whilst maintaining the quick changeover & flexibility inherent within the SP700 and SP710 platform.
This enhancement is backwardly compatible to existing SP700 and SP710 systems.
With the ongoing miniaturisation of substrates and components continually impacting the process window, SmartCal provides the user with simple and cost-free calibration. SmartCal allows the user to maintain the maximum process window and optimum performance for the life of the machine.
Eliminating the need for costly external technical support ,SmartCal gives the user the capability to calibrate their process as often as they wish, without any specialised equipment.
SmartCal uses a fixed and controlled feature for calibration, unlike older technology systems that require the use of printed deposits of glue, paste or grease as a calibration datum.
With these systems, you expose the calibration process to a number of variables such as temperature, humidity, deposit ‘slump’ and even the time of day! When you are looking for micron level performance, calibrating against a moving target will never provide the most reliable results.
2D & 2D+ inspection
Speedprint’s 2D+ paste inspection is available across our full range of automatic printers.
The advanced vision technology improves quality yields by checking the percentage coverage of paste on pad and detecting bridges in real time. The Inspection system can be configured to alert the user upon any deviation from pre-programmed parameters.
Programming of the 2D and 2D+ is made simple utilising our Gerber Import Utility to load and select any inspection points, using drag ‘n’ drop to saving them to the Job File for future use.
Bridge detection is carried out at the same time as normal paste inspection, immediately after the print stroke. The inspection parameters are fully configurable, enabling the system to operate with a multitude of materials and substrates.
Stencil Paste Dispense
A fully integrated part of the AVI platform across our full range of machines, is the ability to automatically dispense solder paste onto the stencil.
This option provides users with the security of never having a PCB commence the print process without sufficient paste being available. With the all pressures in a modern manufacturing operation, it’s important to ensure that the simple things are not forgotten!
The dispense option is simply linked to the stencil bead inspection feature, which comes as standard within all Speedprint series platforms, and is fully retrofittable across the range.
Fully programmable, the user can program the size and inspection intervals, to ensure that the correct replenishment program is maintained. Mounted to the printhead, the dispenser will then replenish a bead of paste in the correct position on the stencil.
Automatic loading and unloading stencils
A standard feature of the SP700 series platform is the ability to load a stencil automatically to an optimised location inside the machine.
This simple operation removes the need for manual calculation and adjustments of mechanical systems and potential mistakes, whilst improving product changeover efficiency. The optimised position takes account of that specific stencil & job, and the data is held against the program for future use.
Optimising the stencil position also reduces print throughput times, as the optimised position removes any and all wasted time moving the substrate to the stencil image for each PCB printed.
1 Micron Resolution Linear Encoders
The use of solid state linear encoders is fundamental to the performance and capability of the AVI platform, which is why they are used as standard throughout our full product range.
Unlike electro-mechanical rotary encoder systems, typically limited to 4-micron resolution, Speedprint utilises the latest generation of linear encoders, within its vision & control systems.
The reliability of solid state components over electro-mechanical is clearly understood, providing longevity and improved cost of ownership. However, the ability to measure and control the machine’s subsystems and performance to 1 micron is what provides the level of performance needed to manage the increasingly complicated process of SMT production.
The laser tooling option is an invaluable aid to quickly and accurately position magnetic support pins in the correct locations for double sided PCB assemblies
The bottom side of the PCB is graphically Displayed on the monitor and the desired locations of the pins are quickly programmed using a ‘Drag & Drop’ function.
A laser fitted to the top camera gantry is then utilised to guide the operator in correctly positioning the tooling pins. This facility eliminates the guesswork associated with manual placement of tooling pins and furthermore improves product changeover times.
